How to reduce bloating

Many different foods can cause bloating but there are many substitutes for them that can make you feel comfortable and less full after eating.

Wheat
The main one is wheat, which is contained in many food such as bread, tacos, pasta and pastries. You can swap out wheat for gluten free products to dramatically reduce bloating or just reduce the amount of wheat you consume in a week.

Drinks
Carbonated drinks also have a massive impact or the way you feel, bloating and uncomfortable pains are caused by gas being trapped inside your stomach. Peppermint tea can help with reducing bloating and taking away stomach pains. Instead of drinking lots of coke or lemonade try replacing it with water, tea or flavoured still water.

Dairy
Dairy products contain lactose which can cause stomach pain so swapping cows milk with almond, hazelnut or lactose free milk can help with your health. If you feel like lactose milk isn't for you again just reduce the amount you drink per day and you may notice improvements.

Fruit
Although you may think that fruit will help with bloating, its not 100% true as apples are one of the main causes to bloating. Apples contain a high content of fructose and fibre and can both be fermented in your intestine so may cause gas and bloating. Substitute apples with bananas, blueberries and strawberries.

Vegetables
Although broccoli is filled with fibre and vitamins, it can cause gas build up and bloating. When eating it pace your self as it reduces the risk of bloating. Onions are also on the list of causes.
